

Beverly Ann Beckstine Lindsey Dale was born July 11, 1932 to Anna and Ernest Beckstine at Transfer, PA. and passed away August 8, 2024. She grew up on a dairy farm with five siblings and attended a one-room school. She graduated from Pennsylvania State University at Edinboro.
Beverly married Eldred (Ed) Lindsey in 1952. They divorced in 1980. She married Vernon Dale in 1999.
Beverly enjoyed teaching elementary school in Portland for many years, retiring in 1990.
She liked to travel and visited every state, many European countries, China and other Far East places. She enjoyed attending Road Scholars, reading and playing bridge and pinochle. She belonged to the Les Chapeaux Rouge Red Hat Society and was a member of Gresham AAUW and Rose City Park Presbyterian church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Vern; siblings; Don Beckstine, Fay Beckstine, and Sally Glisan. She is survived by her son, Ed Lindsey (Cynthia) of Vancouver, WA; daughters, Darla Lindsey (Linda Smedley)Vancouver, WA and Kelly Lindsey Whiteaker (David) La Center, WA; stepchildren; Lydia Dale, Portland, and Myron Dale (Debra) Gresham; grandchildren: Jill Ramos (Balthazar Grajeda), Gregg Whiteaker, Codi Lindsey (Donna), Diana Whiteaker, and Colten Lindsey (Seng), Samantha Pike (Paul), Sean Heim (Maria), Bryan Dale(Crista) and Tracy Bratcher(David); great grandchildren: Alex, Abby, Jayden, Avery, Hayden, Harley, Dominic, Nora, Archer, Brandon, Dylan and (5) step-great grandchildren; sisters, Gloria Lang, Hermitage, PA, Connie Weygandt Transfer, PA, and sisters-in-law Lucy Beckstine, Bakersfield CA and Peggy Beckstine, Mercer, PA.
A celebration of life will be held at Ross Hollywood Chapel with a reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, remembrances in her honor may be made to the Rose City Park Presbyterian Church or SnowCap Community Charity.
