Born on March 13, 1936, in the Republic of Korea, Byeong Sun lived a life defined by devotion to God, dedication to family, and service to his community. In search of new opportunities and a better future for his loved ones, he immigrated to the United States with his entire family on January 10, 1979. This courageous step laid the foundation for a life of hard work, perseverance, and faith.
After arriving in the United States, Byeong Sun worked in a factory before becoming the owner and operator of a convenience store, a role he held with pride until his retirement. Through his work, he exemplified diligence, humility, and integrity—values that shaped his family and inspired those around him.
A devoted elder at his local Korean church, Byeong Sun was known for his unwavering faith and constant prayer, seeking peace and guidance from God. His spiritual leadership deeply influenced his family and congregation, leaving a lasting legacy of faith, compassion, and quiet strength.
An avid golfer, Byeong Sun enjoyed the game for many years, finding joy and fellowship on the course. Above all, he treasured time spent with his family.
In his final days, even as his health declined, his faith remained steadfast. On December 10, 2025, while still conscious, he held the hands of his two grandchildren and offered a heartfelt prayer to God—a final and profound expression of love, faith, and blessing. Two days later, he passed peacefully.
Byeong Sun Yeo will be remembered as a man whose life was guided by faith, strengthened by perseverance, and enriched by love for his family and community.
His final resting place will be at Skyline Memorial Gardens, located at 4101 NW Skyline Blvd., Portland, Oregon.
