Carol A. Stribling

Carol Stribling was born in Portland, Oregon to Arno and Virginia Stribling. She attended Woodstock Elementary School and graduated in 1974 from Cleveland High School. As a adolescent, she attended the Laurelwood Methodist Church. Carol found a career that allowed her to work in Portland as well as travel and live in many different locations; as a food service manager Carol has lived in Texas, Casper, Wyoming, Flagstaff, Arizona, and Novato, California. After working in the food service industry, Carol held administrative positions in the Portland area; Aflac was the last company she would work for.

Carol, to put it simply, was just fantastic with her hands. She found great joy in crocheting, knitting, cross stitching, and other kinds of needle work. She also enjoyed flower gardening, reading books, and painting. Her all time love was for cats, she had them all the time.

Carol is preceded in death by her father, Arno Stribling; she is survived by her mother, Virginia Stribling; brother, Neil (Patricia) Stribling; nephew, Eric Stribling; and niece Anne Stribling.

A funeral service for Carol will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, May 31, 2012 in Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home.
