Carolyn Y. Lee passed away on March 27, 2026, at the age of 94. She was born on November 3, 1931, in Portland, Oregon, to Yuen Ho and Amy Chan, and was raised in Portland’s Ladd’s Addition neighborhood.
Carolyn attended Shattuck Elementary School and graduated from Lincoln High School. She went on to build a long and dedicated career, working for the Bonneville Power Administration in the Bureau of and Management, where she remained until her retirement. On June 20, 1954, Carolyn married George G. Lee.
Together they shared many years of life and companionship.
Carolyn found joy in life’s simple pleasures. She loved dancing at the Elks, listening to music, watching movies, and visiting the casinos. She was known for her friendly nature and warm smile, and she especially enjoyed going out for a good meal with those she cared about.
She is survived by several nieces and nephews, along with extended family who will remember her fondly. Carolyn lived a full and meaningful life, surrounded by family, and will be remembered for her kindness, warmth, and the joy she brought to others.
