He was born in Walla Walla, Washington, and lived all of his life in the Portland area. He was a meat cutter by profession and worked as Meat Market Manager for Safeway from which he retired after 39 years.
Woody had a brief stay with the US Navy after high school graduation and joined the US Navy Reserve in later years from which he was honorably discharged after 6 years.
Woody liked to fish and golf was also his passion.
He is survived by his wife, Maxie; son, Kenneth (Donna); daughter, Kimberlee O’Connor (Jim); stepdaughters, Kathleen Nahorney (Jim) and Marianne Wisner (Bob); and stepson, William (Peel).
Services held Wednesday, August 22, 2012, at 1:00 p.m. reception to follow. Graveside service at 3:00 p.m. inside of Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home, 11801 SE Mt. Scott Blvd., Portland, OR.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Hospice Society.
