

On August 28th, 2021 Cline Hatch, Sr. passed away in his sleep at the age of 85. He was preceded in death by his parents, Merlin and Edna Hatch; brothers, Keith Hatch, Theron Hatch, and Glade Hatch; and sister, Betty Smith. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Dorothy Lee Hatch; sons, Cline Hatch, Jr., of Fort Worth, Texas (Allison Hatch, Beaverton), and Reid Hatch (Cindy Rogers), of Portland, Oregon; daughters, Corinna Powers (Troy Powers), of La Center, Washington, Shaunna Hatch, of Portland,Oregon, Jennie Potter (Greg Potter), of Mesa, Arizona, Jonnie Donkin (Hal Donkin), of Portland, Oregon, Betty Light (David Light Jr), of Mesa, Arizona, Lynda Donkin (Wes Donkin), of Woodland, Washington, and Errinne Hatch, of Mesa, Arizona. He had 33 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, and 2 more on the way.
Cline was born in American Fork, Utah, in 1936 to Merlin and Edna. He was the fifth of six children. At the age of 17, Cline joined the U.S. Army, and served for nine years. After he was honorably discharged, he moved to Sweet Home, Oregon. In 1962, he met, and married his eternal companion, Dorothy. They started their family a year later. In 1981 they moved their family to Milwaukie, Oregon. In 1984 they moved to Portland, Oregon where they lived for 36 years.
