Clyde Robert Jackson Jr passed away on April 2, 2017. Born on January 3, 1934, in Los Angeles, California to Clyde Robert Sr & Gertrude Jackson. He grew up in Englewood Ca, and then moved to Portland, Oregon in his later years. He served in the United States Air Force from March, 1953 to March, 1957 and spent time stationed in the Philippines.
He is survived by four nieces and one nephew, Lynnette (Terence Packham), Kristy (John Chastain), Cheryl (Tim Koch), Stacy (Steve Lee), and
Frank Bouthillier (Kristen).
Clyde was a radar technician and a custodial supervisor. He was known for being a real movie buff, always attending new releases the minute they came out. His younger years were filled with joy as he spent time helping out his sister who was a single mother with five children. He was a member of Volkswalk and spent several years hiking Oregon and SW Washington, always inviting family members to come along. He enjoyed Sci-Fi novels, fishing, camping and hunting with his father.
He was a resident at the Providence Elder Place Glendoveer, was loved by many and known as the cheerful one, always with a smile on his face.
He will be greatly missed by those who knew him.
