Cynthia Barton Rabe was born in Hillsboro, Oregon to parents Carl and Barbara Barton on December 13th, 1963.

She graduated from Forest Grove High School in 1982 and graduated with a Bachelor's Degree from Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri in 1986.

She married Jim Rabe in 1987 in St. Louis, Missouri.

Her professional experience includes positions at Ralston Purina Company, Eveready Battery Company, Intel, and Laika, Inc.

At Eveready Battery, she worked on the product management team that introduced the Energizer Bunny ad campaign in 1998.

She was hired by Intel in 1995, where she worked for 10 years as a marketing executive. Among other titles she held there, she served as director of consumer marketing for Intel's home networking products.

In 2006, she ran Zero-G LLC, her home-based consulting company. She authored a book, "The Innovation Killer," that same year.

In 2007, she became the vice president and chief marketing officer for the entertainment division of Laika Inc., the Portland animation studio that produced films including "Coraline."

In 2011, she authored a fiction novel which has yet to be published.

Cindy was also an accomplished musician and wrote many songs, including "Eyes of a Child", performed by Julianne R. Johnson and produced by Michael Allen Harrison.

Survivors include her husband, Jim; daughter, Kathryn "Katy" Rabe; parents, Carl and Barbara Barton; a brother, David Barton; and sisters Linda Chambliss and Karen Fox; and many friends.

Donations can be made in memory of Cindy and can be designated toward "research funding"

A Funeral Service will take place in Skyline Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, July 1, at 2pm.

She will be privately laid to rest in Skyline Memorial Gardens in Portland, Oregon
