DARWIN AMOS HICKS, Gypsy Joker “DAGWOOD”, age 75 died September 1, 2021 at his home in Washington. He was born October 3, 1946 in South Dakota to Harry and Alvina Hicks. He later moved to Portland, Oregon where he graduated from Franklin High School. He worked at the shipyards and retired as a Longshoreman. He grew up running up and down 82nd so much throughout his life that people began calling him the Mayor of 82nd.
Darwin is survived by his, brother; Dale Hicks; significant other, Sheila Meeker; daughter, Kenra Hall and son, Kerry Hicks; step son, David Kennedy, Jr., step daughter, Mindee Kennedy; grandchildren; Kourtney Hanks, Korissa Allemand, Andrea Hicks, Austin Hicks, Johnny Kennedy, Jr., Patrick Kennedy, Cody Kennedy, Charlien Kennedy, Zizmick Kennedy, David Kennedy III, Winter Rain Kennedy, Ireland Kennedy; and many great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; Harry & Alvina; sister, Dawn Hicks; first wife, Andrea; wife, Patricia Kennedy; and step son John Kennedy.
