Born in Payette, Idaho on December 9, 1946, he was the son of Delbert Turner and Kathleen Turner Minger. Dave was preceded in death by both of his parents, and his stepfather, Dewey.
After graduating from Clackamas High School, Dave attended Oregon State University for a short time before joining the United States Army, where he served almost 3 years as an E6 Sergeant in Cu Chi, Vietnam. After Dave's return from Vietnam, he went into the grocery business where he managed Wally's before he moved on to the floral business. Dave met his wife, Brenda, while working in the grocery industry. After they got married they opened Gateway Florist, a floral/coffee shop where they worked until retirement.
Dave spent his life hunting, fishing, golfing, cooking, gardening, and camping. He was extremely talented at everything he did and was wise beyond his years. He especially loved spending time with his friends and family.
Dave was a precious honorable man who truly blessed anyone who crossed his path. He will be remembered for his strength, kindness, loving nature, generosity, hospitality, love for his family and his overall beautiful outlook on life.
Dave is survived by his wife, Brenda Turner and their puppy Daisy; children, Noel (Sherice), Cathy, Lori (Justin), and Bonnie (Sam); siblings, Ken (Dena), Dan, Janet (Dan), and Greg; grandchildren, Jeremy, Jacob, Taylor (Giuliano), Lexia (Jaison), Arianna, Sydney, Brendon (Crisalyn), Samuel, Kaylee, Hannah, Ava, Teagan, and Kyler; and great-grandchildren, Ezmeray, Ariah, Kameron, Hayden, and Raelynn; along with many cousins, nieces, nephews, and countless lifetime friends all of whom he adored.
There are no words to describe how truly, deeply missed Dave will be. He was the sunshine in our lives, the best guy you could ever meet. There was not a single soul that met him that did not love him right away. He welcomed everybody with open arms and was not one to judge. If you knew Dave, you were truly lucky.
