Dean married Dorothy Samson, a childhood neighbor. The couple had four children, Stephen David, Robert Dean, Nancy Louise, and Gary Martin. They were also blessed with 6 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
Dean worked in sales for various businesses throughout his life until his retirement.
Dean passed away November 8, 2010 in his home in Portland following a long illness. A memorial gathering will be at 12:00pm, Monday, November 15, 2010 in the family residence. Entombment will be in Lincoln Memorial Park.
The family suggests donations to the Oregon Humane Society in lieu of flowers.
