Dorothy Nancy Ackerman (Oneroad) of 5632 NW Willbridge Ave Portland, made her journey on Sept 20, 2017 at the veterans administration hospital. She was born in Greenwood SD on April 25, 1931. Dorothy graduated from Flandreau Indian School in 1949. She attended Huron College for a time and joined the US Airforce in 1950. She was honorably discharged in 1952. She became a wife and mother. Dorothy worked at Good Sam hospital and was an active member of the Portland community. She worked tirelessly to promote the betterment and well being of all. She was active in many groups, organizations, boards and committees in the Portland and surrounding area. She is survived by children; David, Dan, Dianne, Dana, Dez, Dawn, Dori melanie and hunka (adopted) children; Michael, Cheech, Beth and Zachary. 18 Grandchildren, 17 Great-grandchildren and one Great-great grandchild.
