Dorothy Louise Hunt

Dorothy Hunt went to be with her Loving Savior on October 26th, 2011. She was born April 24th 1920 the daughter of Henry and Elsie Hamman of Sauvie Island. In 1940, she married Howard J. Hunt. They recently celebrated their 71st wedding anniversary. Dorothy was one of six children. Dorothy loved her family, she was the center of everyone’s life and she was happiest when surrounded by her family, especially the grandchildren and babies. She was a loving and devoted wife and grandmother. Dorothy is survived by her Husband, Howard of Yamhill; sons Larry (wife Lana) Hunt of Yamhill and Tim Hunt of Drummond, Montana; a sister, Velna Wright of Prineville, Oregon; twelve grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son Darrel Hunt and Grandson Robert Hunt. Services will be at 1pm on Friday, November 4, 2011, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Hillsboro on the corner of Minter Bridge and River roads. A Family Graveside will take place in Skyline Memorial Gardens Garden of The Sermon on the Mount prior to the Church Memorial Service. Remembrances in lieu of flowers may be made to Forest Hills Lutheran School.
