Dorothy Dottie Jayne Scharback

Dottie graduated from Milwaukie High School, and then attended Multnomah Junior College. She went to work for US National Bank, where she met her husband, Harold, after he returned from WWII. They were married for 57 years, raised 3 children, and lived in St. Helens, Seaside and Portland. She and Harold traveled to Asia, Europe, Australia, and across the USA.

Dottie climbed numerous mountains with the Mazamas, and belonged to Jobs Daughters and Eastern Star. She volunteered with the Amer. Red Cross, the Miss Oregon Pageant, the Girl Scouts, and helped at many school libraries and PTA groups. Her interests included skiing, golf, jigsaw puzzles, games, knitting, and reading. She was a devoted mother and cherished grandmother.

Dottie was preceded in death by Harold (2007). She is survived by her children, Paula Scharback, Karen Breslin (Joe), and Bill Scharbach (Darla); grandchildren, Jeremy Breslin (Jessica), Ryan Breslin (Angela), OJ Corulli (Laura), Tim Breslin, Stephanie Scharbach, and Brian Scharbach; as well as nieces and cousins.

A funeral service and burial will be held at 2 pm on Saturday, June 13, at Skyline Memorial Gardens. Remembrances can be made to the Oregon Humane Society.
