He was born in Portland Jan. 8, 1933. Ed graduated from Franklin High School, received a Bachelor’s of Liberal Arts at University of Washington and a Masters of Education from Oregon State University.
He married his wife, Phyllis C. Lucas, Jan. 26, 1952.
Ed was self-employed as a real estate developer for Lucas Investment Properties. He was a member of Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church where he shared his passion for his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Ed had
a deep love of the outdoors, spending his time hunting and fishing. He also loved construction and traveling with his wife, Phyllis.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Phyllis; sons, Keith and Mark; grandchildren, Jeremie Lucas, Jaime Dunn, Justin Lucas, Jason Lucas, Joel Lucas, Ben Lucas and Angie Hayes; many great-grandchildren; his sisters, Joyce Foster and Delores Chapman. His son, Paul Lucas, preceded him in death.
A funeral will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, May 18, 2019, at Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church.
