On July 26, 2014, Eleanor passed away, she was the beloved mother of Leroy Roth, and grandmother of Karen (Roth) Patterson, Kevin Roth, and Kathy (Roth) McCarter. Great grandchildren include Jessica Gilham, Colin Patterson, Hailee Arthur and Nicholas May.
She was born in Tacoma, Washington on October 12, 1921 and moved to Portland, Oregon in the early 1960’s. Eleanor had a lasting career working for the Housing and Urban Development before retiring at the age of 62.
Eleanor was a very active member in her community, and a member of Montavilla Baptist Church for over 60 years, helping and volunteering her time to those in need. She was very dedicated to God and her family seeing the best in all things of life.
Relatives and friends are invited to the viewing from 10am to 4pm on Thursday, July 31st, 2014 per her request at Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home (11801 SE Mt. Scott Blvd).
There will be a memorial service in her honor at Montavilla Baptist Church, 9204 SE Hawthorne Blvd., Portland, OR, on Friday, August 1st, 2014 at 1:30pm.
