

Ellen was born on April 10,1939 in Yakima, Washinton to Jim and May Angel. She was raised in Naches, Washington, and graduated from Naches High School. She had a long, successful career as a criminal investigator. Ellen was a member of the United Methodist Church.
She enjoyed many hobbies throughout her life. She always loved sports and especially loved rooting for her favorite Kansas City Chiefs! She would always make time to attend her grandkids' sporting events. She even drove four hours to go to her nephew's high school football game! It was well known in the family that "she might miss your birthday, but never your sporting event." Ellen also loved to travel and during her travels, she would often bring home rocks to keep in her garden. In fact, her collection still remains to this day! She was a creative seamstress, a gardener, and enjoyed canning, among many other hobbies.
Ellen was a strong, outspoken, supportive, and loving person who will be remembered fondly by so many people who loved and admired her.
She is survived by her children: Stephanie Kresse, Angela (Brian) Hanen, Julie (Mark) Magathan, Jeff Graber, and Heather (Rick) Livingston; her grandchildren: Kyle Kresse, Kelly (Kylie) Kresse, Colton (Ryan) Kresse, Bethany Hanen, Jon-Paul Vu, Alex Vu, Evan Vu, Marcus Vu, Chelsie (Levi) Weddle, Sarah Recknagle, and Josh and Brandon Magathan, as well as three nephews, Jesse, Brett and Kevin Angel. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jim and May Angel, her brother, Millard and her nephew Thad.
A celebration of life will be held in the near future. Further details will be shared once a date is set.
