Emma Jean May passed peacefully into the arms of her Savior and Lord March 3, 2017 at 95 years old. She was born in The Dalles, Oregon to Charles and Anna Dizney - the youngest of eight children, all of whom predeceased her. She graduated with honors from The Dalles High School and moved to Portland with her sister and widowed mother.
She met and married Dick Speer and had two daughters. After they divorced, she raised the girls as a single mom with the wonderful help of her widowed mother. She married Eugene May in 1989 and they had several enjoyable years of travel before his passing in 1995. After a lifelong career as a respected office clerk, Jean died.
Jean is survived by her daughters; Deanna Speer of Gladstone, Oregon, Christina (Leonard) Noakes of Eugene, Oregon; granddaughter Kimberlee (Mark) Vanko of Portland, Oregon; grandson Jeffrey (Kathy) Noakes of Eugene, Oregon; and four great-grandchildren.
