Eva Wong Woo was born October 29, 1920 in Portland, Oregon and went to be with her Lord and Savior on June 22, 2012 at age 91. She was the fourth of five children of Jim Chin and Lillian Wong: Bill, Dorothy Mah, Jack and Fred.
First and foremost she was a wonderful mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Eva had a warm and loving heart. She cherished every minute with her eleven grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
On January 4, 1948 Eva married Harry Wong Woo. They had three children: Gilbert, Ellen and Ronnie. Eva was a waitress at the Tuck Lung Chinese Restaurant and continued her love of cooking to her family. She was an amazing cook; just ask anyone one who got to taste her food. She poured love into each dish as she did everything in her life.
Eva had a passion for crossword puzzles and enjoyed sharing her love for them with others around her. She mastered The Oregonian puzzles and even completed some of the New York Times. Watching soap operas was another daily enjoyment, especially Days of Our Lives and The Young and the Restless. Her other interests included knitting and crocheting.
Eva is survived by her brother, Fred Chin. By her daughter, Ellen Lee and children, Stephanie, Matthew and Katie. By her son, Ron Woo and wife, Joanne, and sons, Marcus, Michael, AJ and wife, Kristin and great granddaughters, Kenadi and Kamden. By her late son’s wife, Vivian Woo and children, Debbie, Jason, Rachel, Becky and husband Erick and great grandson Ethan. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Wong Woo, eldest son, Gilbert Wong Woo and grandson, Kevin Lee.
