

Frances Vivian Parker passed away on April 25, 2011 at Portland Providence Medical Center Hospital. Frances was 88 years old. She was born on November17. 1922 in Portland, Oregon to Alexander and Mildred Bergeron. Frances was preceded in death by her husband, parents, a son Mark Parker, a brother George Bergeron,a sister Vera Speck and 2 grandchildren.
Frances attended St Claire Elementary School and graduated from Lincoln High School. After school Frances married Francis Foley Parker, who was in the Air Force . Frances and Francis, enjoyed the military and did a lot of traveling. They lived in Japan and the Philippians. To this union came 7 children and Frances is survived by 6 of those children, 3 sons, Christopher Parker of Vancouver Washington, Joseph Parker, 4 daughters, Catherine Parker of West Linn, Oregon, Genie Rawlings of Scappoose Oregon, Parker McKenzie of Portland Oregon, and Evelyn Brush of Sisters Oregon. Frances also had 7 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
After settling back down in Portland, Frances taught Tap Dancing at Jefferson High School and Stites Dance Center. Frances also was named as Ms. Senior Oregon. Frances also loved to sew, dance and travel. Frances traveled to Europe and Norwayand around the U.S. after settling back down in Portland.
A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Ignatius Catholic Church, 3400 SE 43rd Ave in Portland on Friday, April 29, 2011 at 11:00 am. Committal will be at Lone Fir Pioneer Cemetery in Portland.
