

Francis Ronald Koller was born December 21, 1946 to John and Anna Koller in Portland, Oregon. They moved to their family farm in Warren Oregon when Francis was about four. He graduated from Scappoose High School in 1965. He worked for Nabisco and McDonalds before getting a job for United Airlines as a cook in their Portland kitchen. When they closed the kitchen, he worked in cabin service until he retired in 2003 with 34 years of service.
Francis and his family were Swiss and would go to Swiss dances. This is where he met Shirley when they were kids. They married on June 26, 1971. In 1973, they welcomed their first daughter Jenee' then in 1975 they welcomed JuliAnn. Francis and Shirley raised Jenee and JuliAnn in Warren on a small farm. Francis worked hard to provide for his family.
Francis loved camping, fishing, going to the mountains, trips to the beach, traveling by plane, train, and ships. He loved going to the circus and he took his grandkids the last time they were in town. He loved trees and planted lots of trees at their first house and their second house. He loved his first new car, which was a GTO. He was proud of his Swiss heritage and loved to dance. Everyone always wanted to dance with Francis. He collected cuckoo clocks and bears. He was always on the lookout to find a real bear when they traveled to Yellowstone and Alaska. He loved his dogs and especially liked it when Rudy would come visit when he was in his home. Francis loved to cook and have friends and family over for a nice dinner.
Francis had a big heart and a funny personality. He always had a contagious laugh and you never knew what was going to come out of his mouth next.
Francis is survived by his wife Shirley of 54 years. Daughter Jenee', husband Steve and daughter JuliAnn. He has one grandson Braidon, two granddaughters Josie and Maddie.
