Fred grew up on his parent’s farm where he learned how to work hard and to care for others. After graduating from Milwaukie High School, he married Beulah Bolkan on June 8, 1952. They were married for 65 years until Billie's passing in 2018.
He was a caring and smart businessperson, having purchased the farm he had been born and raised on from his parents. He worked almost every day raising cows and growing hay, which he would sell to local farmers.
Eventually, he purchased Craver grade school, which he turned into a community center and then into a preschool. After the success of this business, Fred sold it and gave back to the community by starting the Anderegg Family Scholarship. This scholarship helped kids who grew up in farms from all over Oregon to attend Lewis and Clark College.
On the occasion that Fred wasn’t working on his farm, he enjoyed going to the Elks Lodge or attending ceramic shows, having later in life started a ceramics supply business with his wife.
Fred Anderegg is survived by his sons David (Araceli), Deane (Celine), and Don (Sue), 16 grandchildren, and 22 great-grandchildren. On October of 2001 his only daughter, Cindy, passed away. Fred himself was the youngest of six children, all whom have preceded him in death.
Mr. Anderegg was well-known as a hardworking man who cared deeply for his family and his community. His children “couldn’t ask for a better father” and he “was always there for them when needed.”
