A graduate of Reynolds High School in 1988, Gary went on to work at FedEx for many years. Outside of work, he found joy in the things he loved—gaming, playing guitar, building model airplanes, and spending time outdoors hiking and camping.
Gary was known for his sharp intellect, straightforward nature, and love of political conversation. He was naturally introverted and preferred staying out of the spotlight, but those close to him saw the depth of his character and appreciated his sincerity and quiet strength. He wanted to be remembered simply as he was—realistic, honest, and true to himself.
Gary was preceded in death by his parents and sister Anne Elisabeth Slack.
Gary will be laid to rest in a private family service at Lincoln Memorial Park.
