Georgette Nomie graced this world on February 10, 1942, in Amar, Syria, where she grew up alongside her six beloved siblings. In 1963, at the age of 21, she ventured on a journey that would shape her life, immigrating to the United States.
On October 10th, 1964 she married Elias Nomie in Allentown, PA, embarking on a joyful union that would endure 59 remarkable years. In 1966, they moved to Oregon where Georgette established her home, surrounded by family and a close-knit community. Georgette leaves behind a legacy of love that will carry her memory through many generations. She is survived by her husband, four children, eleven grandchildren, two great grandchildren and many other family members and friends, forever preserving her love within their hearts.
Georgette will forever be remembered for her love of family, her selflessness, and always putting the needs of others ahead of her own. She was truly a hero and an inspiration through her actions. Georgette’s departure will leave a void in our hearts that we will strive to fill with all of the cherished memories and love she left behind.
