I bought Glenn's Austin A40 Sports in October of 2003.  I wish I had researched his name earlier, as I would have been interested in talking to him.  While I did not know Glenn, everything I've rend gives me the impression I would have liked him.  I have enjoyed this car for many years and am now in the process of aggressively restoring it. Truly sorry that Glenn has passed after his recent  health struggles. It's nice to be able to read about his life even though I'm 9000 miles away. I did not know of Glenn's passing until attending the Wednesday night Studebaker club meeting.  The memories of years of friendship and past club activities came flooding back, like the tour to Nevada in the mid 1980's.  My wife Joyce and Carol were definitely on the same wavelength.  Godspeed, and may they all rest in peace.  Sympathy and best wishes to Glenn's family members.

Glenn's father Nick married my grandmother Edna Wiebe after my grandfather died.  Getting to know Glenn and Carol was one of the blessings of that union for me.  We moved into the neighboring school district prior to my senior year, and Glenn and Carol took me in for that last to allow me to finish high school where I had started.  They treated me so kindly, much more kindly than an obnoxious teenager might expect. Glenn introduced to me his passion for rebuilding classic Studebaker cars; I especially remember his Studebaker Hawk, and the mid-50's Packard stationwagon with the compressor (really! a compressor came stock on a stationwagon.), which Carol would drive, and occasionally race on the streets against unsuspecting teenagers driving relatively underpowered Ford Mustangs.  He took the time to get to know the children living in his neighborhood, including some of my high school classmates, to my surprise; I didn't know many other adults who took that kind of interest.  I remember him still as a patient and kind man, deeply in love with his Carol.

I met Glenn to the very end of his life and his smile and kindness in his voice just brightened my home; even when he was in trouble for himself he was still comforting the others around him. That big smile he always had for people, up to the end, told me a lot about what kind of a man he was. He touched my heart! It's impossible to forget people like him! I was blest to meet him and his wonderful family.

Sorry for your loss. Glenn was a great man. I worked with him at Waterway Terminals from October 1969 until he retired. He did a great job running the barge unloading operation at River Gate. All the years I worked with him I never saw him get angry.

I've known Glenn since 1975 when I started selling Avon and met Carol. He and Carol became 'family' and we shared so many family events. I'll feel the loss.

I worked with Glenn for a number of years and can say that if I owned a business I would have hired him.  He was a number 1 employee.

I met Mr. Jaeger in the last 8 years.  Gracious and always kind.  His son, Dennis, is one of the friendliest and most personal people one could hope to meet and call a friend.  Mr. Jaeger you will be missed.  But thank you for the son you gave the world, Dennis.

I've known Glenn for 45 years he introduced me to studebakers as a teenager and taught me how to work on cars. Whenever the going got tough I would go see Glenn and Carol, they were my second home.  I will truely miss him and all the good times we had together. We still use the boat Margie bought from him and Devin, my son, tells everyone it belonged to a studebaker icon.  We will miss you Glenn may you rest in peace.

I knew Glenn the last 16 years through the Studebaker club, but he was one of the folks I thought of as family. It was always a pleasure to see his smiling face and hear his soft, thoughtful voice. He was a true gentlemen and we will all miss him greatly.

I was lucky enough to be a part of the Jaeger family for the 4 years I lived next door. Mr. J always helped me when I needed it and didn't hesitate to "guide me in the right direction" when I was being a brat. He was a lot like my father, and I will miss him as well. Rest in peace Mr. J.

Where to begin. To say Glenn was kind would be an understatement. As a friend and coworker of both Curt and my dad Floyd Welch for many years, he and Carol were better than family. When my mom was terminally ill in the late 70's, they would let our daughter Kimberly stay with them and sometimes it was for 2,3 even 4 days at a time. they were my rock, and I don't know what our family would have done without them. There are literally too many stories for here..

I remember all the good times just sitting at the house drinking coffee (or in mine/Carols case sometimes wine), and I can hear his chuckle as he said that Carol's "job" selling Avon always ended up costing him money.. His devotion to her after her stroke was unending and an example of what marriage is supposed to be. 

You are loved and will be greatly missed.

It was an honor and a pleasure to know Glenn~  Matt and I have so many fond memories of Glenn and Carolann - especially in AZ.  May he rest in peace with all the angels and saints as he had a little bit of each in his soul.  Kaye Masco

I have only good memories of Uncle Glenn and Auntie Carol and my visits with my cousins.  Your house was always full of warm hugs and love for family balanced with pretty firm discipline and chores and a touch of feisty fun.

His life wasn't easy. Uncle Glenn has impressed me by his care for Auntie Carol after her stroke and the way he kept active despite his pain and illnesses these past few years. His retirement had some unexpected hardships.

My heart goes out to my cousins and their families and Carolann.  We will all miss him together.

How blest I was to have had you in my life for eight years.  Not only did I love you, but your wonderful family as well.  You, my love "had it all."  God bless you.

Uncle Glenn was such a kind, thoughtful and generous man.  I have good memories of camping with him, my Aunt Carol and Vicki.  My mind holds a picture of him when he was strong.  I will miss him.  May God give the family peace and comfort as they deal with this deep loss.  We are all better for knowing Glenn and I am honored to be able to call him my uncle.
