

Mr. Seifert served honorably in the US Navy from 1956 to 1960. Mr. Seifert working from the early 1970s as a reservist with the Clackamas County Police, serving for 11 years while still working at Fred Meyer and raising a family. After retirement, he enjoyed the outdoors – fishing, gardening, and doing things around the yard. He also liked spending time in Central Oregon and the coast with his family and his dog Shilo. He particularly loved having his grandchildren around him.
He is survived by his wife Juanita Ann Seifert; two daughters, Mary Seifert Pennington and Sandy Seifert; four grandchildren: Desiree, Anthony, Adam, and Danielle, and five great-grandchildren: Easton, Olivia, Paisley, Harley, and Jensen; and by his younger brother Allen.
He was loved by all and will be missed.
An honors ceremony will take place on Thursday, April 11, 2024 at 2:30 pm at Willamette National Cemetery, 11800 SE Mt. Scott Blvd. in Portland. Those wishing to attend should arrive no later than 2:15 pm in order to be led into the cemetery for services.
