Very little is known of James Michael Hildebrand's life.
What we do know is this: He was born on December 7, 1948 and served in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War era. He was honorably discharged and found himself living in Portland, Oregon.
James passed away on July 17, 2014.
He will be interred in Willamette National Cemetery alongside hundreds of his fellow heroes.
