John Wilbur "Abe" Abramson died July 14, 2017 in Portland. He was 80 years old. John was born in Portland March 6, 1937 to Wilbur and Leona Abramson. John is survived by his brother, David (Kathleen) Abramson; nephews, David, James and Gary Abramson; niece, Laurie Winkle; numerous grandnieces and grandnephews; one great-niece; and one great-nephew. John graduated from Cleveland High School. He worked 30 years for Benson Industries, only taking time out to answer the call of duty, to serve his country. John was proudly discharged with honorable mention in 1962. John retired from Benson at the age of 55. He continued to enjoy life to the fullest as a skilled fisherman and boater; all with his faithful dog Lisa at his side. Following a private, family graveside service and interment, the family would like to invite you to a reception at 2:30 p.m., at Finley Sunset Hills Mortuary, 6801 S.W.
