John C. Hiatt

John C. Hiatt, was born on April 2, 1919 in Portland, Oregon to Jack and Elizabeth Hiatt. John grew up in Banks, Oregon and graduated from Bend High School in 1937. In 1942 John joined the US Army serving the country during WWII. After being discharged, John married Audrey Barlow.

John worked as a large appliance repairman, but he worked on more than appliances, John loved to do a lot of tinkering, building and when something went wrong with someone vehicle, they knew that John was the one to get it running again, He and Audrey had 3 sons. John was preceded in death by his wife Audrey and is survived by sons Steven Hiatt of Maple Valley Washington, Michael Hiatt of Hillsboro, Oregon, and Mark Hiatt of Tucson Arizona, three brothers, Bob Hiatt of Olympia Washington, Max Hiatt of Bend, Oregon and David Hiatt of Portland, Oregon, 6 grandchildren, nephews, nieces and cousins.

A Memorial Service will be held on Satuday Feb 25, 2012 at Sunnyside United Methodist Church 3520 SE Yamhill Street at 4pm. In lieu of Flowers, please make a contribution to a Charity of your choice.
