John Culbertson Thom IV passed away on July 3, 2022 in Portland, OR. He is survived by his wife Linda and children Peter, Annie, Kirsten and Hannah. John was born in New York City in 1943 to Mary Margaret and John C Thom III. He graduated from St Francis College in 1971 majoring in Business Administration, Computer Science, and Philosophy. He went on to earn an MBA from Wharton School of Business. He spent the majority of his career in executive sales roles followed by 12 years as an Edward Jones financial advisor in Portland, OR.
In 1988, he married Linda in Portland, OR and was a devoted husband and father to his four children. He was a lifelong Yankees fan and baseball aficionado, collected vintage toy soldiers, enjoyed golfing, fly fishing and family gatherings in Buffalo, Wyoming.
Services will be held at St Luke’s Episcopal Church in Buffalo, Wyoming on Tuesday, August 9th at 2 p.m. Interment will be at Willow Grove Cemetery in Buffalo, Wyoming.
John was preceded in death by his father, John C. Thom III, brother, Steve Thom, sister Margot Thom and mother Mary Margaret.
