He is survived by older brother Roger and younger brother David and his son Jason King.
John loved hunting, fishing as well as shooting pool with his buddies. He also loved to cook and barbeque.
John was a carpenter and foreman at Schommer & Sons for many years and took great pride in the quality of his work.
A committal with Honors will be held at Willamette National Cemetery on Wednesday, October 18 @ 3:00 p.m.
