Judith Pauline Wilson

Judy Pauline (Atkinson) Wilson was born in Little Blue, Missouri on October 28, 1941 to Walter Wilson and Nettie Virginia Atkinson. She moved with her family to Oregon in 1947 where she attended Woodmere Grade School and Franklin High School, graduating in 1959. After high school she moved to Los Angeles for several years, returning to Portland in 1970.

Judy had a long career with a local printing company that specialized in insurance membership and plan materials for local employers. Later she worked for the Transportation Safety Administration (TSA) at the Portland Airport. Judy was very active with her church over the years and was well liked by neighbors and friends, considering them all extended family. Two generations of her nieces, nephews and friends knew and loved her as “Aunt Judy”. Her long-term partner, Gerald Betzer, died in 2009.

Judy passed away in Portland on February 8, 2017. She is survived by her brother Roy Atkinson, sister Annette Hunt and many nieces, nephews, neighbors, and friends. Judy was preceded in death by her brother Raymond Lilly.

A service will be held on March 2, 2017 at 1:00 at Lincoln Memorial Park and Funeral Home. 11801 SE Mt. Scott Blvd, Portland, OR 97086. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Judy’s name may be made to the Oregon Humane Society.
