Jujar Singh Shoker

Jujar was the youngest of three children, he was adored and spoiled by his parents. During his early 20’s he achieved a bachelor's degree in liberal arts and, shortly after, was wedded to Bhupinder Kaur. After conceiving their first child, Jatinder Kaur, Jujar decided that he needed to be more financially stable to raise a family. Just like any immigrant, he decided to leave his home country to have a better life abroad. Through a lot of hardship and struggles, Jujar was reunited with his wife, and four children; Jatinder Kaur, Jaspreet Singh, Sandeep Kaur, and Mandeep Kaur. As they began their new life in U.S Portland, Oregon, Jujar was blessed to see all his children graduate from school and start their new lives into adulthood. From weddings to seeing his five grandchildren that he loves very much; Valerie Shoker, Aliyah Churchill, Mia Shoker, Ariana Churchill, and Marissa Shoker.

In the last few years, Jujar Shoker was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease. Although he was ill, it didn’t stop him from living his life. Jujar was a driven man, and till his last breath fought to live. We will remember Jujar as he was, a man of drive, compassion, hard work and sacrifice, but also that he was a father, a brother, an uncle, a cousin and a friend to many. May you rest in our hearts Jujar Shoker.
