

Larry was the youngest of 8 children of Ka Heng Ngai and Chan Chi Sum Ngai in Kowloon, Hong Kong. He passed peacefully after a 4-year battle with Parkinson's disease and dementia. He is finally free of the body that failed him and the mind that no longer allowed him to communicate. He is running free now, playing tennis and enjoying the company of his son Nick and all his siblings, parents and friends who passed before him.
Larry matriculated 1966 from Munsang College in Hong Kong, then came to the US to attend Cascade College and graduated from Seattle Pacific University with a degree in Chemistry. He took joy in participating on the track team and singing in the choirs.
Larry is survived by his wife Laura and daughter Courtney, brother James (Sarah), sisters-in-law: Yoshiko (Akihito), Linda (Ron), Shirley and Alice and brother-in-law Michael (Peggy) and many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his son Nicholas, his parents, brothers, Arnold (Alice) Timothy, Samual (Shirley) and sisters Joan (Man Kam), Cecelia (Thomas), Lois.
After retiring as an insurance agent from Nationwide Insurance, he drove a school bus for the Beaverton School district for a few years. Larry enjoyed playing tennis 3 to 5 times a week, walking with the family dog, and socializing with his many friends.
A Memorial Service will be held at Village Baptist Church at 12pm at 330 SW Murray Blvd. Beaverton, Oregon 97005 with a reception to follow.
