Lawrence "Larry" Arthur Saccareccia

Born and raised on Long Island, New York, he was the youngest of three.

For him, life began in 9th grade when he started dating “the love of his life," Vivian. They graduated together from high school in 1959. Larry joined the United States Army in 1961 and served his country until 1963.

In April 1963, Larry and Vivian became husband and wife. They welcomed their first son, Larry, in 1964, their second son, Scott, in 1967, and in 1970, they welcomed a daughter, Sandy, who completed their family.

Larry worked many years for the phone company as an installer. In 1978, Larry moved his family to Aloha, Oregon, where he resided until his passing. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, golf, square dancing, traveling, and spending time with his family.

Larry is survived by his loving wife, Vivian, sons Larry (Mary) and Scott (Melinda), daughter Sandra (Mike), six grandchildren (Stephen, Nicholas, Samantha, Hayley, Brandon, and Adam), and 5 great grandchildren.

A funeral service for Larry will be held on Monday, April 17, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Finley-Sunset Hills Mortuary, 6801 SW Sunset Hwy, Portland, OR 97225, followed by a short graveside ceremony at the adjacent Sunset Hills Memorial Park in the Garden of Tualatin View.
