

Leo T. Haber Leo T. Haber, 56 of Portland, Oregon passed away peacefully on April 28, 2016. He was born in Honolulu, Hawaii on Sept. 10, 1959. As a military child, he moved with his family throughout the country until they settled in Anchorage, Alaska in 1970. Leo Graduated from A.J. Diamond High School in 1977. He worked for both the UFCW Local Union 1496 Alaska and for Alaska Teamsters Local 959 where he was an airport attendant. Leo lived in Anchorage until he moved to Portland in the fall of 2013. He loved all things science fiction, especially the Star Wars and Star Trek movies. One of his favorite hobbies was collecting Star Wars and Star Trek memorabilia. Captain Kirk and the original Star Trek TV series were favorites too. Leo is survived by his mother Eiko Haber, His brother Don Haber (partner Ralph Brewer), many Aunts and Uncles, Cousins, Nieces and Nephews. . Leo was preceded in death by his father, Sumner J. Haber. The family has requested a private service for Leo. In addition to burial in Anchorage this summer, the family will also scatter his ashes along the Oregon Coast and in Maui, Hawaii, where Leo enjoyed many vacations. Arrangements have been prepared by Finley's Sunset Hills of Portland and Hawaiian Lei Company of Honolulu. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorial donations be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital (stjude.org). The Haber family would like to thank all of the caregivers, family members and friends who helped to care for Leo - Mahalo. Aloha.
