Mae was born on January 4, 1920 in Oakland, California. She grew up in Seattle, Washington and attended Garfield High School. Mae worked for American Optical in Seattle, and married Army staff Sergeant Ellis LeFebvre at Fort Lewis in February 1942. They moved to Portland where she continued to work for American Optical, retiring in 1980 after working for Opti-Craft Inc. Mae enjoyed the outdoors, especially camping and fishing. She later moved into Powell Valley Assisted Living where she enjoyed all of their activities. Her favorites included playing cards and bingo. She will be remembered for her sunny attitude, the smile on her face, and her laughter, which she managed to do every day. She is survived by her three children: Linda, Leon and Larry. Interment will be in Willamette National Cemetery in Portland.
