At the age of 88, Margaret died peacefully in the hospital surrounded by family. Born in Bannack, Montana to William and Florence Tessier; was the 6th of 8 children. She lived through the Roaring 20’s, the Great Depression, and World War II. She married George J. Fleck in 1940 and they eventually made their home in Oregon. Throughout her lifetime she enjoyed cooking, canning, gardening, dancing, knitting, crocheting, traveling and crossword puzzles. Always a caring person, she built an addition on to her home and moved her elderly parents from Montana to Oregon so she could take care of them herself. She is survived by her brother Harley, her sister Lelah, six grandchildren: Dean, Jean, Mark, Shannon, Kimberly, and Darryl; ten great-grandchildren: Dana, Jennifer, Elyse, Rylee, Sydney, Devin, Natalie, Aerius, Kamryn, and Rachel; and a number of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband George, life-partner Roy Forsberg, sisters: Helen, Irene, and Cary; brothers: Victor and Dalton; and sons: Jim and George. She was a wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, mentor, and friend who will be dearly missed by family and friends alike. A viewing will be held Thursday, July 28, 2011 from 9am-5pm, with a memorial service the following day, Friday, July 29, 2011 at 1pm; both events will take place at Skyline Memorial Gardens 4101 NW Skyline Blvd. Portland, Oregon 97229. 503-292-
