Maria Beltran Casillas

Maria was born on June 4, 1945, in Michoacan, Mexico to Antonio and Maria Luisa Casillas. In 1962, she married Jacinto Beltran and had enjoyed over 60 blissful years of marriage. To their union was born nine children, however many people considered Maria their surrogate mother and grandmother due to her loving and caring nature.

Maria was a devoted Christian, wife, mother, and grandmother who wholly cherished her faith, family, and friends. She was a retired pastor’s wife who was a passionate singer, and she kept her culture alive through her cooking and wonderful camaraderie. She was a long-time member of Ministerios Sol de Justicia, where she was best known as the church’s Abuela, while being a beloved friend to many.

Maria is survived by her husband, Jacinto; children: María Elena, Jose, Elizabeth, Moises, Samuel, Elias, Joel, Rebeca, Eunice, her brother Francisco Casillas, 24 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews who brought much love and joy to her life and who love her dearly.

A funeral service for Maria will be held on Wednesday, August 2, 2023 from 7:00 PM through the night at Nexus Church, 12555 SW 22nd St, Beaverton, OR 97008.

A graveside service will occur on Thursday, August 3, 2023 at 12:00 PM at Sunset Hills Memorial Park, 6801 SW Sunset Hwy, Portland, OR 97225. When entering the cemetery gate, please turn left to reach the location.
