Mary Louise Smith "Weezie" passed away peacefully surrounded by family, caregivers, and friends at the age of 101. She was born August 6, 1916 in Topeka, Kansas. She graduated from Washburn University in 1935, married Calvin Smith in 1945 and moved to Portland, Oregon. She had many lifelong friends, excelled at handicrafts, and travelled to all 50 states, Canada, Mexico, and Europe.
She was predeceased by her husband; her parents, Walter and Marcia Brown of Topeka, Kansas; and brother, George Brown of Kansas City, Kansas. She is survived by her daughter, Paula (Mark) Young; niece, Mary McCoy; and grandniece, Christine McCoy.
Private interment at Willamette National Cemetery.
