A friend who I hadn’t spoken with in years called today, out of the blue.  Over the course of our long conversation he mentioned the passing of Mike, and said he had watched his memorial service on YouTube.  So, I watched this morning.  Now, I have a better understanding of why I so enjoyed visiting Mike at Contractors Inc. for 30 years or more.  I sold a lot of wastewater equipment to Mike over the years, but what I most remember is how kind he was to me.  I’d call Mike from my Kirkland office for an appointment, sometimes on very short notice, and he always made time to see me.  I now realize Mike was a reflection of Jesus when I was in his presence.   As a fellow OSU Civil Engineer and SeaRay owner (mine a dingy next to his), I was blessed to have known Mike.
