Born in Buffalo, New York, on April 9, 1954, Michael was the son of Ledonia and Sylvester Wright. He was the brother of Steven Wright and the proud father of his beloved daughter, Damá Wright Ogletree.
Michael grew up in Brookline, Massachusetts, where he attended Brookline High School. He began his career as a mechanic—a passion he maintained throughout his life through his love of building and riding motorcycles. He eventually transitioned into technology, becoming a highly skilled data analytical technician.
His career led him to Portland, Oregon, where he worked for Intel for many years as a data technician in security and analytics. During his tenure, he traveled the world as an on-site troubleshooter, resolving complex system issues. Most recently, he spent two years with OpConnect, an electric vehicle support firm dedicated to providing EV access to minority communities across the Northwest.
In Portland, Michael was widely known as "Boston." He was a respected member of the community who bridged relationships between the worlds of tech, motorcycle organizations, and the local entertainment and restaurant scene. He was also respected for his unique, strategic approach to security and his ability to diffuse complex situations, a skill he shared by training many others.
Like his mother, Ledonia, Michael was known for great conversation and for promoting acceptance and understanding. He will be remembered as a person who brought people together.
Thank you for your support and for keeping Michael in your thoughts.
