

Ngoc Man (Mandy) Nguyen, 52, died on November 8, 2011, with her family by her side in Portland, Oregon. Her final days were spent surrounded by family and friends, which she had touched in so many ways throughout her memorable life.
Ngoc Man was born September 16, 1959, in Can Tho, Vietnam to Phi Nguyen and Phinh Ly. She came to the United States in 1975 with her siblings: Melina Vo, Thu Minh Milford, Pauline Nguyen, and Nghiep Nguyen. She attended James Madison High School.
Ngoc Man met Tuan Nguyen and they were married in Portland, Oregon in 1983. They were married for 12 years and were blessed with 2 children. Son, Eric Nguyen and daughter, Vina Nguyen.
Ngoc Man was known for her kindness, love, and caring for all of her family and friends. Her free spirit was ever present when people were around her; they felt care-free, happy, and lively. She enjoyed singing, dancing, playing instruments, and spending time with the people she loved the most.
Ngoc Man was diagnosed with lung cancer in 2009. Her will to live was beyond extraordinary. She had a strong spirit and state of mind. The last couple weeks of her life she was surrounded by many family members and friends. With strong support and care Ngoc Man’s last memories were filled with love and joy.
