Norman Lee Helberg

Born and raised in Fairmont Oklahoma, Norman attended the University of Oklahoma, and graduated with a Bachelor’s degree. Norman married his college sweetheart, Mauritta and they moved to Portland, Oregon where they had a son, David. Norman went to work for Freightliner on Swan Island and retired after a distinguished career of 39 years. Much of Norman and Mauritta’s lives were dedicated to their nearly 60 year membership with Resurrection Lutheran Church, where Norman volunteered his time for many projects. They were also members of local square dance troops, including The Stars and Garters, as well as The Lucky Squares. Norman is deeply loved and dearly missed.
