Patsy Alice Jensen

The daughter of late Amon and Myrtle Tooley was born on January 6, 1932 in Portland Oregon. Patsy attended local schools and graduated from Cleveland High School with a bookkeeping course of study. She married Verlon Lloyd Jensen on January 20, 1951.

Patsy was a stay-at-home mom with her five children for most of their childhood. She later took a part time position at the local bowling alley where she was able to work and enjoy herself in a sport that she loved and excelled. She also worked at OHSU for 10 years in the records department before retiring.

Patsy lost her husband Verlon in 2003 after 52 years of marriage. A few years later, she moved to a retirement community in Vancouver Washington to be closer to her daughter, where she lived for the last 11 years. Patsy enjoyed participating in all of the activities, movies and games. She was a fierce competitor. She also loved socializing with her friends, listening to music and dancing, every chance she got.

Patsy is survived by her five children - Sandy Downing (Tim), 5 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren; Pam Warren (Dave), 5 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren; Debbie Romano (Vito), 3 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren and one on the way; Rhonda Wright (Mike), one grandchild; Ron Jensen

(Kelly), 5 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.

Due to COVID restrictions, we will hold her memorial service later this summer where she will be placed alongside Verlon at Willamette National Cemetery.
