Born October 17, 1954, Paula attended both Grant and Roosevelt High Schools graduating in 1972. Never one to sit down, she was known for her remarkable work ethic. She worked tirelessly to ensure her family was always provided for. Whether it was as a Vendor or working with Trimet, she would put everything she had into whatever she did.
In 2001, she married the love of her life, Dorwin “Dore” Anderson.
She was highly intuitive, wise and business savvy. To say she was a visionary would be an understatement. She accomplished everything she set her mind to. It was with that same fearless determination she purchased Westwood Tan & Beauty in 2002. Spending the next 14 years working diligently to build the business into the successful operation. In addition to the salon, she assisted her both her husband and youngest daughter managing their construction company, Metro Interiors, Inc.
She loved life and thrived on adventures with both her family and friends. Over the years, though her interests appeared to often change, it was merely her desire to experience all this life had to offer. Whether it was drawing, or painting, bowling, or horses, camping, fishing or visiting her cabin in Welches.
Nothing gave her more joy than watching her grandchildren as they grew. There is nothing she wouldn’t do for her grandchildren and the unwavering support she offered them will be forever missed. A beautiful person inside and out, compassionate, selfless and forgiving in nature. She shared her kindness with anyone she met.
She was preceded in death by her father Leonard Pingel, Sr, and by her husband Dore in 2013, and is survived by
Children Lori Whiteside and husband Rob and their children Marcus and Nora,
and Jamie Smith and her son William Ault;
siblings Leonard Pingel, Jr, Kenneth Pingel, John Pingel,
