Phillip Walter Walden arrived in the winter of November 28th, 1949 in Portland, Oregon to the proud parents of Phillip Summer Walden and Emma Jean (Hadnot) Walden, he was the oldest of their three children.

Phillip met and married Deborah (Harris) Walden in Richland, Washington in 1986. They moved to Vancouver, Washington in 1987 where he actively assisted in raising a blended family of five children.
Phillip was a man with many passions, from playing chess and winning computers at the highest levels, to sports, sports, and more…sports! He enjoyed traveling whether is was taking long road trips to Arizona where he would bask in the sun and watch Baseball’s Spring Training or to hanging out in the Casino’s in Reno or Las Vegas. He loved spending time with his family…talking up a blue streak about sports and the more he talked the louder and faster he became. Phil loved to read and write and he was very proud of his children’s, nephews, and nieces academic and sports achievements. He loved to listen to Jazz music, drink a glass of wine, and eat at fine restaurants but, most of all he loved his Mom’s potato salad and his Grandma’s famous soup.
Proceeding Phillip into the presence of God was his dad, Phillip Summer Walden.
