Verse 1: God I never knew who you were, I thought
church could give me life, but now I know that this isn’t
true, and I’m so thankful to you!
Chorus: Thank you Jesus, for taking me out of the pit I
was in, thank you Jesus for saving me from my sin.
Thank you Father for showing me more and more of
you, thank you Father for changing my point of view!
Verse 2: I turned to the awful things of this world,
trusting my friends instead of you, this world had
nothing to offer me, I was blind but now I see!
Verse 3: God even when I rejected you, you poured
your mercy and grace, I’m so thankful for all that you’ve
done, And I’m ready to finish the race!
Verse 4: Show me to always be the light, be that
example through me, I want to always speak of you,
because you set me free!
