A native Oregonian, Roberta lived her 93 years fully. She inherited an adventurous spirit from her mother and has passed it on to her children. She loved to travel, not only in the US but abroad. She loved hearing about other’s travels, as well. As part of her adventurous spirit, she was not afraid to move. Often. That meant we were able to explore places we might not have done so thoroughly otherwise, including Lincoln City, Devil’s Lake, and Birch Bay, WA.
With a green thumb, she always had a garden which had to included flowers. She was an artist with her stained glass and lamp shades. She was also an avid reader. She was always curious, always asking questions.
She was a loyal, generous friend, giving to the people and causes she believed in. She was thoughtful to a fault and had a sense of humor that could catch you by surprise. Even as her lung disease made life more difficult, she met each day with courage, determination, and optimism.
Her faith anchored her, and she prayed for her family, our country, and the world every night.
