

Roy Coe was born December 22, 1919 in Dallas, Oregon the son of Ah and Nellie (Lee) Coe. The family moved to Portland, Oregon where he attended Couch Elementary School, Lincoln High School and then several years at University of Washington. Roy met Helen Eng in Seattle and they were later married on June 15, 1947. He enlisted in the United States Army on January 21, 1942, serving until his discharge on September 25, 1945. Moving back to Portland he worked as a lithographer for Sweeney, Krist and Dimm Printers for 37 years. His hobbies were golfing, watercolor painting and water aerobics.
He is survived by his sons, Clayton "Jay" and Darrell Roy Coe; daughter-in-laws, Kristene and Mary Ann; grandchildren, Kearsten, Aaren, Mychal and Kyra-Denae; great-grandchildren, Tyler, Makeara, Nomee and Siri. He is preceded in death by one brother and five sisters. His wife,Helen preceded him in death in 2000.
At his request, there will be no formal services held. He will be interred with his wife at Willamette National Cemetery in Portland, Oregon.
